Although, entering notes via the Pitches panel is a fairly simple input method, it is sometimes more convenient and faster to place a notehead directly on the staff.
- Tap on the lower staff to the right of the time signature.
- Change the duration by tapping the Whole button in the Note values panel. If the button is not visible, scroll to the left by swiping over the note value buttons or using the Scroll left button.
- Tap the Input modes button in the top-right corner to open the menu with input methods available for the current instrument.
- In the Input modes menu, choose Staff Position to show the Accidentals panel and start adding notes by their staff positions.
- In the Accidentals panel, tap to go to the space between the fourth and fifth staff lines if counting from the bottom.
- Add the G3 note without any accidental signs by tapping the Natural button in the Accidentals panel.
- Tap four times to go to the space between the second and third staff lines.
- Tap in the Accidentals panel to add the C3 natural note.
- Go to the next bar using the Next button in the Navigation panel.
- Tap the Sharp button to add the C#3 note.
- To delete a note at the highlighted staff position, tap the Clear button in the Accidentals panel.
- Add the note G3 between the fourth and fifth staff lines, and the note G2 on the first staff line.
- In the toolbar, switch to the Fragments mode to show the Actions panel.

Tap to copy both G3 and G2 notes.
- Tap to paste the copied notes after the selection.

Go to the next position using in the Navigation panel.

Add a rest by tapping the Rest button in the Note values panel.
- In the Note values panel, choose Half .
