Copy and paste notes

The following notes in the sonata are identical to those we added in the previous steps. Therefore, we can just copy and paste the notes instead of entering them one more time.

1. Hold Shift and press the Left Arrow key to select the notes in the current and previous positions.

   

2. Press Command‑C   to copy the selected notes.

3. Paste the copied notes after the selection using Shift‑Command‑V    .

   

4. Press Right Arrow to go to the second position of the previously selected notes.

   

5. Press Right Arrow again to create a new empty position.

   

6. Press Command‑V   to replace the selection with the copied notes.

7. Change the duration to eighth (1/8) by clicking the Eighth button in the Note values pane.
